Community Links

It is important to us to be a part of the local Shadwell Community and also the city wide community of Leeds.

It has been difficult in recent years to work in some of our local partnerships due to the constraints of COVID. In previous years, we learned about historic parts of our village with the Shadwell History Society

We also sang some WW11 Songs for our friends at the Good Companions Group in Shadwell. They really enjoyed hearing our Choir sing "We'll meet again" and "The White Cliffs of Dover". This linked with our Year 6 history topic and really brought it to life!

In previous years, Year 1 children took part in an intergenerational project where they visited Donisthorpe Hall each week to sing songs and share art work.

We  have also worked with Shadwell in Bloom who have helped us with developing our outdoor areas and have enjoyed links to the Cricket Club and Shadwell Tennis Club.

This year we took part in a collection of food for Harvest which Reverend Young, our local vicar, then took to St George's Crypt in the centre of Leeds. We were pleased to have the opportunity to help others in Leeds who are less fortunate than ourselves.
