Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
Shadwell is an inclusive one form entry Outstanding Primary School and this year has been named as the Number One Primary School in Leeds (Times and Telegraph league tables, December 2015). We know our children as individuals and we tailor our teaching to their needs in this way. We are proud of our family ethos and our children quickly develop their own engagement in their learning, focusing on aspirations for their future and evaluating their progress along the way.
Training days for this academic year are as follows:
Monday 2nd November 2015
Tuesday 26th July 2016
Wednesday 27th July 2016
We’re all having a great time and are giddy from an afternoon of problem solving! We’ve made our beds and had a room inspection already!
Its tea time soon, then well tackle the Nightline in the rain… We’ve changed some of the activities to a day when the forecast is predicting better weather later in the week. We hope to see the stars on the night walk on Wednesday evening.
The 2015 league tables show Shadwell as being the best performing primary school in Leeds. This is a fantastic acheivement for all the children, staff and parents of Shadwell. Click below to view the tables.
Not only is Shadwell Number 1 in Leeds it is also ranked Number 29 in the country by The Times. The Times ranking is out of over 16000 schools and this represents an amazing achievement for the children of Shadwell School.
This week children from the Bramham and Shadwell Federation took part in a sponsored spelling test. Who said children can’t spell these days? Children from Bramham and Shadwell primary schools have certainly worked hard on their spellings to raise the fabulous total of £3648.
